ventian blind

One of the best materials for venetian blinds is wood, this can be either the natural, genuine or real kind, or for practicality faux wood. Real wood would of course cost significantly more than synthetic material but with a little diligence you may be able to find a good deal somewhere. Customized sizes for example won’t be offered at a great discount, ready made and overstocked items on the other hand will be more readily available at discount prices. You also won’t have to sacrifice the choice of colors either because wooden venetian blinds at a discount can be found in white, oak, cherry, pecan and mahogany. So you probable want to know what makes products from companies such as Levolor so special?

How can the price of wooden venetian blind range from say $50 to $150 for the same size? The answer includes a number of things including the type of hardwood used. All hardwoods are not the same, Teak for example is superior to Pine. This is just an example but the end result is that premium wood tends to age much better. It is proven stronger, unfortunately many companies simple state “premium hardwood” for the type of wood they use. This is pretty vague and while hardwood is the best type of wood, it can range significantly in terms of quality from one kind of timber to the next. Making sure you know what type it is will be in your best interest, especially if you intend in installing blinds throughout the entire home. Many people aim for matching the color of their blinds with their wood flooring and that is about as far as they care about the matter. Despite this information not being readily available in brochures and even online, your salesperson is trained to know the answers to all questions, so just ask. Another thing that favors more established, more expensive brands is the enormous selection of colors that they have. The colors I listed above are limited and you can expect that kind of selection with discounted venetian wooden blinds but for companies such as Bali the selection may very well include – Auburn, Honey Maple, Golden Oak, Walnut, Sedona, Cheyenne Red, Cinnamon, Colonial Pine, Alabaster, Dover, Pearl, and many others that will impress you even more. This is the type of luxury one receives when they pay for a premium product. But are these brands pricier and far superior than ventian blinds wooden from other brands that cost a lot less?

Put it this way their will be a big difference between lower end blinds such and higher end brands. The difference between middle of the line brands and the top brands is however not as drastic in quality but more so in the finishing touches, such as the type of color and materials used. The difference will be obvious but middle of the line products are still pretty darn good. A big dilemma might be what would you choose natural wood venetian blinds from that cost say $50 per window or faux wooden venetian blinds from the best brand available. You might be put in this situation and I won’t even attempt to give advice on this one. But I will express my opinion, first it is how and what you feel. Do you feel that something natural is very important to you? Are you inclined to be a more ecological friendly person? If so then a natural product might be what you want most. Your last decision will be what size slats you want. The sizes will vary from less than an inch to 1″, 1.5″, 2″ and even as large as 3″.
