Let’s face it the more convenient something is in the home that better it is for our comfort. Motorized blinds are no different, you can actually compare them to a TV and remote. How convenient is a TV without a remote control. The same could be said for window blinds. The biggest difference however is added cost and unfortunately you have to pay more to have the control of your motorized blinds at you fingertips. You don’t have to necessary your entire home with a motorized systems. And actually this is not what most people do. What most people do is that they motorize blinds that are in hard to reach places. A classic example are skylights if you have any in your home.
The bedroom is another great place to have them, imagine waking up early in the morning but you don’t want to get out of bed. With a press of a button you can have your window blinds open to your liking. Now that is convenience with a touch of luxury I might add. Of course there is the remote control but you can also install a switch on your wall to open and close them.
There are also systems that work on timers, and you can set them to whichever hours you want to lower or raise your motorized vertical blinds. Some people prefer the wall switches and ideally install them right next to the light switch by the door. This might be great for rooms such as the living room or other rooms that attract a lot of traffic. You don’t want the remote control getting lost in such instances. But in the bedroom it might be best to have a remote, one that can be close at hand on your nightstand for example.
The timer is ideal for large residences especially for homeowners that have a strict routine. If you want the motorized skylight blinds to be open at say 7am every morning and closed at say 6pm every night then this is they solution for you. Such convenience is also ideal as a gift for elderly parents, it will make matters so much more easier for them. Quite frankly the larger the home the more necessary a motorized system becomes, it can be a chore have to open and close a number of window blinds throughout the house.
