blackout roman blinds

Having a very dark bedroom is dream for some people and obviously they have their reasons. Some find it difficult falling asleep even with a little speck of sunlight. Others work all hours of day and night and they love coming home knowing that their bedroom is nice and dark even if it’s noon outside. There are so many ways to keep out the sunlight but there are only a few way to do it in style. So ask your self would you prefer thick curtains that take up too much space or would you prefer blackout roman blinds that will keep your room dark while making it look tasteful as well.

Your choices can be anything from fabric to faux suede. As far as the cost, well if you have a 33″x64″ window then you can find something really nice for around $35, a brand like Linden Street. The larger the window the more you should expect to pay a little more. The price that I quoted is one you’ll find on sale, other wise the price is usually double that. You may also be interested in a black out roman blinds that also provides insulation. These would cost quite a bit more but if insulation is a concern then it’s worth finding out more about them. Other things to consider are colors and you may want something with dual colors, these blended roman panel slats are very stylish and will make any bedroom look much better. Then again costs go up when being too selective, so you can easily spend 35 bucks or even 150 bucks on something primarily designed to keep the light out.

A simple solid color like red, burgundy, white, black, white or something new like ochre or lacquer would look just as nice and at much less the cost as some designs offered by Comfortex. But it’s what a person likes and darkening a room can be very personal and you may also desire to keep some of the noise from the outside out as well. If this is what you want then don’t just order any type of blackout roman blinds, read carefully what extras they offer. Some will keep your room dark but they may offer little insulation. If you have a child then also make sure that the blinds conform with child safety standards and most likely they will but it never hurts to ask.
